The sharp, lance-shaped blade of the Caliburn Trocar System delivers high cutting force and forms the foundation for smooth entry. In combination with the bevelled design of the trocar cannula, it enables a consistent insertion with up to 43 % less penetration force.
The Continuous Flow Cutter ensures continuous aspiration thanks to its permanently open port,
resulting in reduced traction on the retina compared to cutters with a conventional guillotine mechanism. The combination of our sophisticated fluidics system, continuous aspiration, and up to 15,000 cpm delivers powerful performance in the OR. A 61 % increase in aspiration flow at 23G significantly accelerates vitreous removal, while the enhanced stiffness improves the cutter’s stability. *
